 Pre-Installation Updates

To ensure compatibility with Gamearena and to prevent frame-capture errors, the host machine must be running the latest system software

Windows OS Updates

GameArena utilizes Windows-level APIs for high-speed frame capture. Outdated builds can lead to service crashes or restricted permissions.

  • Update Path: Go to Settings > Windows Update and select Check for Updates.

  • Requirement: Ensure all "Cumulative Updates" and ".NET Framework" updates are installed.

  • Reboot: A system restart is required to finalize changes to the display stack before launching the streamer.

NVIDIA Driver Updates

The streamer requires the latest NVIDIA drivers to access the hardware encoder (NVENC).

  • Standard Driver: Ensure you have the latest Game Ready Driver installed.

  • How to Update: Use the NVIDIA App (or GeForce Experience) and click Check for Updates.

  • Clean Install: If you are experiencing "Black Screen" issues during testing, re-run the driver installer and select Custom > Perform a Clean Installation. This clears old cache files that can interfere with WebRTC streams.
